Historic drive by

The weather was drizzling and dreary when we awoke in Port Isaac, our host assured us the night before that breakfast would be at 9, by 9.20 and no sign of breakfast we set off, keen to be on our way. Our limited exploration of Port Isaac proved that it was a tiny historic fishing village, and how they can possibly film a tv show there, defies logic. The streets were so narrow most couldn't accommodate a car, let along trucks. Narrowly escaping with our mirrors intact we set of for a 'drive by' of Stonehenge. We did exactly that, setting our sights on arriving in Windsor in time to tour the Castle.
We did and we were rewarded with not only a beautiful castle, but an amazing feat of period restoration, following the fire of 1992(I can't believe it's been nearly 20 years.
Excellent day, tomorrow morning: repack, empty the car, back to London !
Cheers M x
