Off to Heathrow on the tube 'all stations', checked in on our Flight to Singapore and then spent the next 12 hours winging our way through the night and closer to home.
Friday, we spent a lovely day in Singapore working desperately at staying awake. We visited Raffles in all it's elegant colonial charm and did a little shopping. I had some foot reflexology and in the evening we visited La Pa Sat Festival Market, for some satay, char kway teo and fried carrot cake (fried small pieces of rice cake - made of rice flour and shredded radish, mixed with a sweet soy) delicious. Satisfied, and exhausted we fell into a long awaited sleep!
Saturday, breakfast in the hotel lounge and an island tour, an effective 'air conditioned' way of seeing Singapore. Back at the hotel, we managed to find time for some curried chicken murtaba (Indian pancake filled, with chicken, onion, eggs - served with a curry sauce) for lunch, and an afternoon of relaxing (quite possibly the first time on this trip), before we head to the airport and home to our families!
We have had such a great adventure, thanks for sharing it with us
